The Fund for Joe’s
The Fund for Joe’s
is the annual operating fund that supports a range of program-related
services vital to the mission of Joe’s Movement Emporium. Every
year, July though June, we launch an annual fund drive with specific
activities to support completion of our goal. These activities include
holiday mailings, e-alerts, percentage sales at local businesses,
special events, and performances. Joe’s is fortunate to receive
annual support from many loyal community members, business leaders,
and patrons whose generosity keeps year-round programs available to
many children and families in our community. |
Annual gifts range in size from $35 to $100 to larger
pledge amounts. Credit card payments (VISA or MasterCard) and
monthly payroll deductions are allowed. Many of our donors have
opted for these payment plans, in addition to cash contributions.
All contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed.

Your gift will help Joe’s to keep arts education
a crucial part of outreach to children and at-risk youth. As one of
the few safe, extracurricular programs in Mount Rainier, Club Joe’s
serves weekly 300 children with homework assistance, life-skills instruction,
and other afternoon activities involving painting, drawing, dance,
and music. |
Your
gift will help Joe’s to continue spotlighting the artistic talent
in our community while supporting a creative economy. Through year-round
programs, Joe’ promotes the arts as a way of supporting community
revitalization and social change. During the past year, we have recruited
more than 25 professional performance groups that have made Joe’s
their home. Our annual budget has more than doubled in the past two
years, and our operations now contribute more than $935,000 to the
economy of Prince George’s County according the Arts and Economic
Prosperity Index of the Americans for the Arts. With these numbers,
it is no wonder why an investment in Joe’s leverages more resources
for the region.
