We’re looking for someone who loves community, the arts, and being in the thick of things to join Joe’s dynamic Studio Manager Team. This is a weekend, part-time position with potential to pick up additional shifts dependent on performance.

What you’ll be doing…

The Studio Manager plays a critical role in ensuring artists and audiences alike enjoy their time in the facility whether performing, rehearsing, attending a show or taking a class. Duties include reception, including but not limited to answering the phone and greeting all who enter the space, space use management, and revenue collection for several programs.  This position ensures everyone has the best experience possible at Joe’s.  The Studio Manager is responsible for all activities scheduled during a shift and, at times, will be supervising another staff member or volunteer. 

What you need to be prepared for…

When you are a studio manager at Joe’s you oversee a 20,000 square foot facility and anywhere from 150 – 450 individuals coming through the space at day. The savvy studio manager will get to the know the regulars, intuitively know when it’s quiet enough to check and make sure all bathrooms have enough toilet paper and answer the phone or an inquiry with a great attitude and a smile.

Duties include

  • Reception and customer service

  • Event and activity supervision and support

  • Collection of program revenue

  • Supervision of volunteers or staff

  • Coordination and communication with program team members

  • Data entry and reporting with an aptitude to use software and applications

  • Maintain studio and classroom spaces for program readiness


  • Comfortable using technology, including applications and programs for space use, ticket sales and transaction

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Passion for engaging community in the arts experience

  • Experience in the performing arts or other arts tradition

Big Plus

  • Has experience with Skedda online booking, Patronticket through Salesforce, Quickbooks Pro, and Mindbody Online

  • Has worked in creative, flexible, arts-based environment and is comfortable with problem solving and facilitating solutions on the fly


Hours needed are

  • Monday, Wednesday - Friday from 5:30 - 10 pm

  • Saturday from 5 pm - 10 pm*

*Saturday hours often go until midnight depending on what event is in the theater. Studio manager would be alerted in advance of dates when late hours expected.


Pay rate is $12 - $15 per hour commensurate with experience.
