Arts Education
Camp Joe’s
Featuring performing and visual arts programming with talented instructors, local artists run by Joe’s beloved arts education staff. A full day of arts programming, games, and creative learning plus two pool days a week are sure to keep any child active all summer long. Robotics Camp available for ages 9 – 15 does not attend the pool.
Time: Monday – Friday 9 am – 3 pm | Early drop-off 7:30 am (free) | Aftercare until 6 pm ($50 per week)
Ages: 4 – 13
Cost: $200 per week

Club Joe’s After Care
All children are provided two – three movement and visual arts classes per day, homework help and a healthy snack. Club Joe’s serves children from Mount Rainier, Thomas Stone, Glenarden Woods, Cesar Chavez, Hyattsville, University Park and Riverdale Elementary schools.
Time: Monday – Friday 2 – 6 pm (Club Joe’s picks up from above listed schools)
Ages: 5 – 13
Cost: $95 per week

Adult Classes
Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter semesters offer a variety of classes including staples such as yoga with Brooke Kidd and Smooth & EZ Hand Dance. Offerings include belly dance, yoga & meditation, and tai chi.
Time: Classes meet weekly but are drop-in, no commitment required
Ages: All ages above 14 are welcome to participate. Seniors receive discount on below prices. Parent/guardian must be present if child is 16 or under.
Cost: Joe’s classes are $13 to drop-in or a 10-class pass for $110 can be purchased

Workshops
6-week unique learning experiences with talented local artists. Take your pick of African Drum and Dance, Contemporary African Dance, Hip Hop, Belly Dance, Trap Heels, and more. Workshop offerings change each semester.
Time: Workshops meet weekly for 6-week sessions and require commitment.
Ages:16 & up
Cost: $120 for 6 weeks

Youth Classes
Drop-in toddler movement classes, baby yoga and youth dance classes on weekend. Click to check out what Joe's is offereing this semester.
Time: Classes meet weekly but are drop-in, no commitment required
Ages: 0 - 8 years old
Cost: $10 to drop-in, $80 for a 10-class pass.

Job Training

CreativeWorks
CreativeWorks is a vocational training program in theater production and digital media that prepares youth and young adults to secure employment and prepare for higher education.
Time: Participants are divided into “in-school” and “out-of-school” groups. Schedule is determined each Fall and Spring semester with enrolled participants.
Ages: 17 – 24
Cost: Free to participate, hourly stipend available, must apply

Artist Services

Rent Joe’s
Joe’s offers some of the most affordable rehearsal space for performing artists in the area. With studios, classrooms and theater available for rehearsals, photoshoots, workshops, meetings, and more – Joe’s is the a space where many artists choose to develop their craft.
Ages: Renter must be able to make online payment with a credit card or bank transfer
Cost: Hourly rates range from $35 - $250 depending on space requested and technical details

The Arts Learning Resource Guide
The Arts Learning Resource Guide highlights lifelong educational opportunities in an arts district that is home to over 500 artists, 150 studios and dozens of artist collectives. With so many levels of creative engagement from introductory classes to master experiences for every age, and in every medium, the guide seeks to give residents and visitors access to the wealth of knowledge offered.

On Stage at Joe's

Current Season: Resilient Cultures
Resilient Cultures is a season of social innovation and awareness connected through dance, music and theatre. Joe’s focus this season is presenting works that investigate the role of the arts within the cultural, creative and political transformation of our community and at large. Time:September 2018 – May 2019
Ages: Varies depending on show. Students & Seniors typically receive discount.
Cost: Ticket prices range from $15 - $30

The NextLOOK Series
Established in 2014, NextLOOK supports the development of new music, plays, dance and other experiences by regionally-based performing artists. Selected through a yearly application process, NextLOOK artists are given a stipend and access to rehearsal and performance space at Joe’s Movement Emporium. Made possible in partnership with The Clarice.
