CREATIVITY

Programs range from $300–$500 per session, with discounts for multi-week series. Coordination, supplies, and equipment may have additional fees. Past school contracts have ranged from $1,500–$65,000.

All programs are customized to your school’s needs.

Joe’s Movement Emporium (Joe’s) is an arts organization in Prince George’s County, Maryland, operating two arts centers: Joe’s flagship in Mt. Rainier and Creative Suitland Arts Center in Suitland. Joe’s mission is to inspire creativity through cultural experiences, supporting arts education, job training, and a creative community.

World Arts Focus is the nonprofit parent organization identified by PGCPS vendor # 26311.

Our staff meets with Community School Coordinators from each school to develop a creative arts strategy to meet student and school community needs. A variety of experiences are available to consider.

AFTER-SCHOOL WEEKLY CLASSES
Build creativity, confidence, and communication with weekly classes for all ages. Instructors can teach multiple sessions per day, fitting into existing programs or creating new ones. Options include:

  • Dance: Hip Hop, Step, Salsa, and more

  • Theater

  • Fitness Movement: Zumba, jump rope, hula hoops

  • Vocals & Choir

  • Poetry & Spoken Word

  • Environmental Stewardship

  • Digital Media: Photography, videography, sound design

WORKSHOPS
One-time or occasional arts experiences for students and the school community. Themes include:

  • Yoga, Latin Dance, Hip Hop, Step Dance, Hula Hooping, etc.

  • Creative Wellness: massages and bodywork for all ages (Spanish translation available)

VISUAL ART KITS
Hands-on supplies for painting, drawing, or sculpture. Kits can align with curriculum or serve as take-home projects, with optional in-person or video instruction.

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Arts or Career Days: Full-day creative experiences

  • School Assemblies & Themed Presentations: Cultural, wellness, and positive behavior programs

  • Family & Parent Engagement Nights: Evening workshops like paint nights, wellness events, and movement/fitness activities

  • End-of-Year Events, Attendance Celebrations, Lunchtime Shows, Staff Appreciation, Back-to-School Performances

ARTS INTEGRATION RESIDENCIES
Teaching Artists collaborate with classroom teachers for multi-week or single-week arts integration programs.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Creative staff support, including:

  • Teaching the creative process

  • Arts integration strategies

  • Storytelling skills

  • Curating student creativity

  • Team building and wellness activities

PRODUCTION SUPPORT
Lights, sound, video, and photography services to enhance school events, concerts, and performances.
