About the Program

Mission: To expand career pathways for Prince George's County creative professionals, connecting them with DMV employers to break into the industry and grow, helping talent and companies thrive together.

Vision: To build a sustainable creative ecosystem where young people build real skills and thriving careers, and employers gain access to vetted, homegrown talent.

BECOME an Apprentice

  • Apprentices can pursue one of two specialized roles:

    Multimedia Producer – Create and manage digital content across platforms, overseeing projects from concept to completion while crafting engaging stories and maintaining quality standards.

    Digital Video Editor – Edit and enhance video content, adding effects and refining footage to produce polished visual stories for film, TV, social media, and digital platforms.

    • Age: 17 or older

    • Education: High school diploma or GED

    • Work Eligibility: Authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Passion: Experience in one or more areas of digital media –whether through academics, freelancing, or professional work.

    • Commitment: Ready for a full-time, year-long apprenticeship

    • Paid, full-time hands-on experience (40 hours/week, 2,000+ hours total)

    • Industry-recognized certifications (Adobe Digital Academy & U.S. Department of Labor)

    • Expert training & mentorship from industry leaders and professionals

    • Real-world portfolio development to showcase skills to employers

HIRE an Apprentice

  • Duration: One Year (2,000 Hours)

    Infuse your team with fresh digital media talent through CreativeWorks. Our apprentices bring skills across digital marketing, videography, animation, and other specialized areas – ready to start strong and continue growing.

    Once vetted, employers can partner with us anytime and hire when it works for your business. Initial onboarding takes up to 30 days before the year-long apprenticeship begins.

    CreativeWorks streamlines the apprenticeship process for DMV employers and nonprofits by providing skilled apprentices, a user-friendly platform for compliance and tracking, and ongoing support to ensure your apprenticeships succeed.

    • Provide 2,000 hours of W-2 employment: $16/hour, increasing to $19/hour, with potential for permanent placement.

    • Provide Hands-On Training: Give apprentices real tasks to learn from.

    • Pair apprentices with a mentor, like a CEO or Communications Manager, to foster their growth and develop essential skills.

    • Stay Compliant: Follow all legal and program requirements.

    • Find Motivated Talent ready to make an impact.

    • Reduce costs with thousands in wage and training subsidies.
