“Can you Dig It?” is an exploration of Black history, commemorating a time when blackness was celebrated through movies, music, dance, and political movements.

Our art exhibition, “On the Black Hand Side”, pays tribute to the gestural representations of love, spirituality, creativity, respect, dignity, and recognition within Black American cultural traditions. The following week, artist partner Black Leaves Dance Company takes us on a journey through Black culture through dance, highlighting decades of historic and impactful movement. Joe’s leads a conversation in environmentalism with black panelists for a “Wine Down” on Black History, and the next generation pays homage to the honorable John Lewis through a speech competition that ends with a performance on March 12th.

Join us at Joe’s to keep black stories alive during a pivotal time in American history.
