Data Analyst and Development Coordinator

What you’ll be doing…

As the data analyst and development coordinator, you will work alongside senior staff and board in a regional arts organization. You will provide essential support to manage revenue goals, both contributed and earned revenue, providing data-driven insights and development support to our team. With your help, we can make better decisions and build a stronger community. Your tools will be spreadsheets, databases, donor insights, thank you notes, guest lists, trends and a team willing to co-create with you. By working alongside the senior members of the organization in planning, implementing and assessing each campaign, you will help resource Joe’s future.

Bottom line: we are looking for someone who can use data to make our relationships with donors, ticket buyers, artists and our community stronger by spotting trends, finding new opportunities and making sure Joe’s is responsive. Tracking the details fuel big-picture thinking to support visionary missions. We are willing to deepen your knowledge in data or development, but we need you to have a basic understanding of both and experience in one area.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Work with available datasets to create actionable insights for the organization--especially related to donors, community engagement and demand for Joe’s programs.

  • The position reports to the Executive Director and works alongside finance and communication departments

  • The position will collaborate with the Executive Director on:

    ○ All fundraising campaigns, events and meetings from planning to executing

○ Collaborating with grant writing consultants to complete and submit grants to foundations and public agencies

○ Administrative tasks essential to development including scheduling and supporting grants program

○ Supporting the board of directors including attending monthly board meetings and providing essential board communication

  • The position assumes primary responsibility for:

○ All donor communication through thank you letters, donor newsletters, potential membership program, ensuring quality, that they meet evolving best practices.

○ Data management of contributed revenue, placing your position at the forefront of nonprofit work and at Joe’s sustainable revenue model.

  • Other duties as assigned and needed--we are a team! From staffing our gala to joining in team strategic planning exercises, we want you to be in it with us!

Skills and experiences you should have:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Basic understanding of CRM databases, especially Salesforce.

  • An eye for detail.

  • Best-in-class interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to self manage and lead (you must be able to work independently, flexibly, collaboratively, and productively in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage a multi-faceted workload).

  • 2 – 4 years of fundraising development or data analysis experience.

  • A love of community and a belief that everyone deserves a place to express themselves is critical.

  • This is an exempt position with a salary range of $50K-$55K, dependent on experience
