Dance, Fight, Play: Capoeira Series for Beginners with Capoeira Malês Maryland

This workshop will introduce the Afro-Brazilian Martial Art of Capoeira to all ages!

Participants will get an advanced Capoeira demonstration before diving into an Introduction with history and music. After a brief warmup and stretch, you will learn basic movements of Capoeira with opportunities to practice in individual and partner drills. To close out, you’ll demonstrate your new skills by playing in a Capoeira Roda!

Instruction will be led by Brianna McIntosh, Taylor Lake, and Diron Staton of Capoeira Malês Maryland.

All participants under the age of 5 must attend with a participating adult.
