TONIGHT'S 6:30PM SHOW, EDUCARTE: FOR ALL DANCE PARTY WILL BE HELD INDOORS DUE TO RAIN.

Masks are required for unvaccinated people. It’s recommended that you stay masked while indoors.

You are invited to EducArte’s, “For All Dance Party ” Outdoors at Joe’s! Join us Saturday, July 24th at 6:30 pm to learn a new dance and shimmy the night away!

This event is for all ages so bring the entire family! 

Join us for a forró dance party featuring master accordion player Rob Curto and Brazilian vocalist Rose Moraes. Forró (foh-HO) is a two-step partner dance from northeastern Brazil that everyone can pick up easily.

Come early to warm up and learn some dance tips with instructors Kate Spanos and Pablo Regis.

Rob Curto is an accordionist, composer, and educator based in Philadelphia. Rob has a prolific career touring and composing, gaining notoriety for his mastery of the piano accordion, exciting harmonic blends, and general musicianship across genres and musical boundaries. He is a founding member of the “Brazilian bluegrass” band Matuto and has played with artists such as Lila Downs, David Krakauer, Kiran Ahluwalia, and Dominguinhos. Singer and percussionist Rose Moraes brings the soul of Brazilian music to the world. Born in the south of Brazil near São Paulo, she has performed in Switzerland, Poland, Brazil, and the US, where she now resides. She has opened for Diana Ross at BET “Walk of Fame” in Washington, DC and performed at venues and festivals such as The Library of Congress, The Chamber of Commerce (Brazil-USA), The National Zoo, Adams Morgan Day Festival, Artscape (Baltimore), NYC at Zinc Bar, and The Iridium.
