Each year, Joe’s Movement Emporium recognizes movers and shakers in the Joe’s universe with the Mighty Joe Awards.  “Mighty Joes” are those who have enthusiastically supported Joe’s programming for a number of years. Whether the support was financial, or simply a smiling face in the crowd at a performance, these five individuals exemplify what it means to sustain a creative community.

This year the Mighty Joe Awardees will be honored during Joe’s 25 Anniversary Virtual Gala. From 6 pm to 8:30 pm guests can view the honorees, performances, and other special guests, live-streamed from both Joe’s flagship site in Mt. Rainier and the newly opened Creative Suitland Arts Center. After that, Joe’s will be offering an in-your-house dance party to round out the evening--what a better way to celebrate Joe’s than by dancing! The event is free, though registration is required. VIP tickets and sponsorships are available. Purchasers of VIP tickets and sponsorships will get a “Gala In-The-House” box filled with food and favors to be delivered on the day of the celebration.
