Creative Suitland GRAND OPENING Performance & Arts Showcase
Creative Suitland Arts Center, a project of Joe’s Movement Emporium in partnership with the Revenue Authority of Prince George’s County, MD, is a new multidisciplinary arts center to serve as a launchpad for an arts-based, community development strategy to include residents and businesses in defining the cultural and creative spirit of greater Suitland. Our desired outcome is a visible creative industry, strong arts audience, excellent arts education, and a boost to the local economy.
Creative Suitland Arts Center is building a network of artists and creative entrepreneurs who need space to create, teach, rehearse and present. An Artist Partner model provides a home to artists and creative groups. Two of the first Artist Partners of which assist with the delivery of programs and events are Substantial Art and Music, an organization providing professional development and consulting services to the art and music community, and Girl Speak, Inc. a nonprofit organization designed to celebrate, educate, empower, and unite young ladies ages 11-24.
