Camp Joe’s – provides youth, ages 4-13, from 7 am-6 pm, with exposure to the arts. Camp Joe’s offers one-week sessions for elementary school-aged children to explore world arts traditions through performing and visual arts disciplines. Over the course of the summer, more than 300 students spend an average of 2-4 hours in motion each day.  

Children experience dance, step, vocals, drama, percussion, creative movement play, tumbling, jump rope, hooping, and so much more!

Financial aid deadline has been extended. We are accepting forms until June 1. Please download, fill out and turn in this form.

Camp Joe’s is licensed by the Health Department and does not currently accept Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) vouchers.

Program Information

Participants can enroll in one or all weeks of camp. The structured day begins at 9am and ends at 3pm.

Time: Monday – Friday 9 am – 3 pm
Ages: 4 – 13
Cost: $225/Week (aftercare $50/week for children over 5) 

There are no discounts but financial aid is available.  Deadline to apply for financial aid is May 1.  Financial Aid applications will not be accepted without TAX FORMS and proof of income.

Registration form must be submitted with full payment or a $25 registration fee per camp week for each child. The registration fee is non-refundable (no exchanges) and will hold a slot until the first day of camp.  

May 31st is the deadline for Permission Slip, Emergency, Release, and Medical forms which are required for participation.

Early drop-off (7:30AM) is available at no charge. After care requires registration at least one week in advance (exceptions may apply). The rate is $50 per week for each child regardless of the number of days. Children who are registered for after care must be picked up by 6:00PM.

After care – the creative fun continues!

Students staying at Joe’s after the program ends at 3pm have options for their energy: the Quiet Room with books, games, and hanging out; Open Studio Movement with props, mats, jump ropes, hoops, and balls, build forts, and put on plays; the Theater for self-directed performances, lip syncs and staff showing their skills; and the Art Room with paint, drawing or sculpture projects.  Kids say it’s their favorite part of the day.

There will be no programming Thursday, July 4th or Friday, July 5th.

Pool Information

Children will swim at P.G. Community Pool every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 pm - 3 pm. The pool is located at 3301 Buchanan Street, Mount Rainier, MD 20712. Children under the age of 7 (unless there is written approval from a gaurdian) will swim at the wading pool.

Our Arts Education Department focuses on self-awareness, confidence and creativity through performance arts.  

Additionally, Joe’s provides the opportunity for youth to be exposed to the arts through special workshops. Joe’s Arts Education department currently provides a Joe’s Dance program during the summer offsite for ages 5 - 13 at Elizabeth Seton High School.
